It was nice to see a good turn out for the open practice at Hawkeye Downs yesterday.
The weather could have been just a bit better but after a long winter it felt good to see cars on the asphalt again.
The new promoter, Chris Stocks, got his first chance to take the reins of this facility, all in all it went well. When I asked him if it was all he expected, he said "It will take some time to get used to it, but it will come around!"
I look forward to a great season at the track.
