The annual outing on asphalt is coming up in early August, before Deery Brothers Summer Series drivers return to dirt for the traditional Iowa State Fair show.
Hawkeye Downs Speedway at Cedar Rapids hosts the ‘Dirt At The Downs’ program on Aug. 6. IMCA Modifieds, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks round out the Wednesday night card. Local Hornets will also be racing.Pit gates open at 4 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 6 p.m. Hot laps are at 6 p.m. and racing starts at 7 p.m.
Grandstand admission is $15 for adults, $10 for seniors and students, and $1 for kids 11 and under.
